The library is the intellectual center of an academic community – a place for research, thought and reflection. In order to perform its function to the satisfaction of all its patron, it needs their understanding and cooperation.
The following conduct and procedures are meant to spell out the practical ways of following the Golden Rule in the library.
The guidance office is a support office of St. Mary’s Academy of Jasaan that helps students to develop his full potential both on the academic and in the co-curricular activities of the school. Students are steered towards holistic development so that they may become catalysts for the transformation of society.
Students or even personnel are expected to submit themselves for guidance and counseling to help them in easing out with their problems in school.
The functions of the guidance office are the following:
Assists in familiarization of new classroom teachers and other personnel through guidance office services.
Implements orientation program for both teachers and students
Administers testing both in the screening of new employees and admission of new students
Confers to parents of students as the need arises to update them of their children’s behavior and academic progress in school.
Plans and organizes with the department heads for careers to follow upon graduation.
The Medical Service Area
The medical service area caters to the students’ annual medical check-up. The doctor checks the student’s physical conditions that include head to toe assessment. It is done one hour a week and caters an average of 25 students per session.
The Dental Service Area
The dental service area caters to the annual dental check-up of the students. The dentist visits the clinic one hour in every week and conducts the dental check-up. The annual dental check-up accommodates an average of 25 students per session.
